Puggles are a small hybrid breed of dog created by mating a male pug and a female beagle. The outcome is a energetic hound dog that has a thick framed body, short-haired, coloring is fawn, tan, and black and cute drooping ears.
In general puggles get to be about 15-30 lbs. and approximately 13-15 inches at the shoulder.
Puggles are sweet-tempered, playful, intelligent, social, and affectionate.
They get along well with children, other dogs, and other household pets.
Puggles are low maintenance. The occasional bath, nail clipping, and ear cleaning are all that is required.
Puggles have become a favorite breed for many, it is easy to fall in love with a face like that!
PUGS
Behavior: Pugs are people-oriented dogs. Puppies are especially playful and always ready for company. If you have another dog, a pug puppy will often seek out their company for play and adventure. The puppy stage can last until the pug is about 2 years old. Afther that they seem to find their daily routine, and often entertain theirselves unless you want them. Pugs especially long for the approval of their owners, but you will must teach them what it is you want, they cannot learn on their own.
First and foremost: the pug is not an outside breed! Heat and high humidity can easily cause death in this breed, due to the flatness of their faces. But, if you have limited yard space, if you want little grooming, if you want an intelligent companion who is just a little hard headed, if you want a dog that doesn't yap, if you want a dog that is very tolerant of people, then you want a pug.
Size: Shoulder height: 35 cm (13.75 inches). Weight is about 15 - 16 lbs.
Coat: The pugs coat consists of short hairs. Pugs do shed often. Colors can be black, beige, or silver, and have a black mask.
Character: Easy-going and straightforward, Pugs are sociable, intelligent and calm.
Temperament: This dog gets along well with children, other dogs, and any household pets. It may get jealous if its owner ignores it.
Training: It is necessary to be gentle when training this breed, as they are very sensitive to the tone of your voice.
Activity: Pugs love to romp and play outdoors, provided the waether is good. Always make sure they have a cool place to spend the day if it is hot outside.
Pugs are an excellent family breed, and soon find their role in the family and they consider themselves a member just as you.
